Black Belt Conservation Research Institute

The Black Belt Conservation Institute (BBCRI) is a current project between The University of West Alabama and the Nature Conservancy. One of the current international goals of the Nature Conservancy is to place emphasis on the restoration of prairies. For the past four years, UWA has been recognized by the National Wildlife Federation for its Prairie Land Restoration Project.
